Founder & Project Lead
brosmc.net is an ambitious and fully custom Minecraft server project built around a unique, open-ended space exploration gameplay. The core concept blends adventure, sandbox, and RPG mechanics, allowing players to travel between planets with fully customizable spaceships, gather resources, engage in PvE and PvP combat, complete dynamic quests, and interact with a richly developed sci-fi universe.
The mission of brosmc.net is to deliver a non-commercial, immersive multiplayer experience that values creativity, freedom, and deep progression systems without relying on pay-to-win mechanics. The project is designed to respect Minecraft’s EULA, ensure fair play, and offer a professional-grade game mode within the Minecraft environment.
As one of the Project Leaders , I played a key role in conceptualizing, managing, and directing the project. My responsibilities included:
- Co-leading the entire project structure alongside other leads, ensuring deadlines and development milestones were met.
- Overseeing project management, including task planning via Kanban boards, sprint coordination (Scrum), and inter-team communication.
- Contributing to technical design and game architecture, ensuring cohesion across plugins, datapacks, and game systems.
- Maintaining quality assurance by implementing and approving core gameplay mechanics, storylines, and new content under a strict review process.
- Engaging in community and team coordination, fostering a respectful, creative, and productive environment.
I also worked in the development Team for the Minecraft Plugin -The Brosmc.net Space Server Plugin. It is the core for the new Game inside of Minecraft, using the Minecraft Spigot API, it features:
- Permission System to mange ingame Permissions to certain Players
- World Regulations for diffrent areas of the Map
- Custom Item System with a connection to a database and a WebUI for editing
- Custom Crafting Systems
- Real Economy Simulation with Shares
- NPCs and Quest-Interactions
- Fully functional moving Spaceships (that Players can customize)
- Fully functional moving Elevators in the game
- Enemies and Bosses and much more…
What makes this special, is that diffrent to modding - this is just a rewrite of the core game and players do not have to download additional code on the client to play.
At peak times, the team consistet of up to 100 voluntary workers that worked together to create a wonderful community project that is still under development today.
This role required a blend of leadership, technical knowledge, and creative direction, all contributing to the vision and execution of one of Minecraft’s most feature-rich custom experiences.
